Here is a holiday party gift exchange offering, an acrylic painting based on a pencil drawing I did as a teenager of strippers standing around outside a strip club. But with squirrels!
Western Hornduggler
Every holiday season, I participate in a make-your-own white elephant gift exchange. There is stiff competition that encourages investment and lots of scrambling to make whatever it is you’re creating “work”. I love it, because it gives me an excuse to create something and a deadline to actually complete it. The Western Horrnduggler is a product of this amazing party. There was no killing involved - he had died peacefully, so the head-mounting was guilt-free.
Mushrooms
As some of you out there might know, I have a bit of an obsession. It started with some iPhone snapping while on early morning hikes with the dog. Then a macro lens came into my life and it got a little more serious (read: obsessive).
Fog
I do a lot of hiking and am often inspired by the beautiful surroundings, particularly when it involves fog.
